Milan is famous around the world for its contribution to the fashion industry, making it a dream destination for fashionistas everywhere. It’s a paradise of beautiful boutiques, designer brands and vintage stores, scattered throughout the city to keep you guessing. You could spend hours, even days, exploring the city streets and you still wouldn’t find every hidden gem that Milan has to offer.
So whether you’re looking to find a thrifty designer piece to complete your outfit, or you want some exciting new items to refresh your wardrobe, the fashion capital of Italy will always come through for you. But with so many shops to choose from it can be difficult to know where to start. That’s why I’ve pulled together this guide for the thrift-shoppers and vintage-lovers looking to fill their wardrobes with beautiful items that they can cherish for years to come.
Here are some of the best vintage shops in Milan.
Madame Pauline Vintage
Described by fans as a temple of vintage, Madame Pauline Vintage is the place to go if you’re looking for beautiful designer clothes at a steal. The shop may only be 50 square foot in size, but you’ll find yourself lost amongst the stunning collection of Chanel, Prada, Dior and Jimmy Choo to name just a few. The shop is packed with stunning pieces of fashion history, ready to be rediscovered and loved once again.

Stepping away from designer and into something a bit edgier, Groupies is a rock store that takes pride in reviving 80s fashion, inspired by the many subcultures in London at the time. The boutique is called Groupies because it is styled to look like the backstage of a gig, where fans would meet and gush over their idols. Dedicating to not only recycling but also customising vintage garments, you can channel your inner goth, punk, skater-chick or metal head – just see where the mood takes you.
Location: Via Gian Giacomo Mora 7, Milan, Italy
Pourquoi Moi Vintage
I challenge you not to buy something when you visit Pourquoi Moi Vintage – it’s just not possible to leave empty-handed. This mecca for vintage clothing holds some of the most stunning vintage items Milan has to offer. Better still, it’s location on Naviglio Grande means it’s perfect for dropping in next time you’re on your way to an early aperitivo.

More than just clothes, you can buy fabrics, lace, ribbons, buttons, scarves, cufflinks and so much more! And everything is hand-picked by owner Giuseppe Sacchi.
