OUR PURPOSE

Social Responsibility

We believe in social and moral duty to have a positive impact on the environment.

The aim is to design and produce our garments with great care and to reduce our impact and generate awareness. As a brand it is our responsibility to create a brand that is responsible and ethical.

Sustainability

Fabric is one of the most important elements when designing clothes. Our product is inspired by all the beauty that created our world and the amazing people in it so we do not want the fabrics we use to destroy it. We use responsibly sourced, Oekotex certified, GOTS certified, biodegradable, organic or dead stock fabrics.

Our tees are made from organic cotton, GOTS certified, which reduces the amount of water needed. We choose digital printing for our tees so the residual water is not contaminated with pesticides. Please send us back your old Braxfield tee’s and we can send them off to be sustainably recycled.

Production

All our garments are designed and made in the UK. Our garments are made to order, and produce all our stock in London. We never want to mass produce and we love and are proud to be part of the slow fashion revolution.

Each garment is made with love for each customer, therefore we eliminate waste. Our sample garments are auctioned in a yearly soiree, all proceeds are given to charity.

We produce each garment in high quality fabrics, we work with top pattern cutters, so that are garments can be in your wardrobe for a long time. Our hope is that when you receive your beautiful purchase, is that you wear it to many events. Your friends will love how you look, and we encourage you to loan and share the love and let them see for themselves how a Braxfield garment will make them feel.

We hope that you will love your purchase, take care of it and mend it whenever it needs. If for whatever reason you come to the end of the relationship with your Braxfield design, we encourage you to swap, donate, or recycle. When the garment comes to the end of its numerous lifestyles, remove the components and let the fabric decompose naturally.

Caring for your garments will increase the longevity and minimise the impact on the environment. Follow the wash care instructions and wash as little as possible, as washing and drying can shorten a garments life span. For more on how to care for your garments please see our blog: Sustainable wardrobe

Recycling

Recycling is integral to every aspect of our business and our lives. Whether it’s recycling your Braxfield purchases, ensuring all our packaging is recyclable or simply recycling everything at the office.

We do as much as possible and are always striving to do more.

As part of our commitment to the circular economy, our ambition is that are garments remain in perpetual use and re-use.

Our packaging and catalogues are fully recyclable.
